Grab You Facebook Fan Pages’ Vanity URLs Tonight
Grab You Facebook Fan Pages’ Vanity URLs Tonight

Tonight, Facebook will start allowing Facebook fan pages owners to get their preferred vanity URLs. If you will recall, Facebook started allowing Facebook users to grab their preferred vanity URLs for individual profiles and fan pages. But during that time, Facebook fan pages were only allowed to get vanity URLs if they have more than 1,000 fans before May 31, 2009.So, if you maintain a Facebook fan page with more than 100 fans you can wait until midnight to get your desired vanity URLs. Be sure to be quick though, as I’m pretty sure that there will be a land grab happening tonight as it was two weeks ago.
If your Facebook fan page has less than 100 fans, you may have to wait for some more time if Facebook will allow you to have those cool vanity URLs too. Of course, we all know that this restriction is being implemented to avoid squatting.
Just like what happened when this feature was rolled out to everyone, Facebook names would be on a first-come, first serve basis, names are not changeable and transferrable, and names must at least be 5 characters long.
The process of getting vanity URLs for your Facebook fan pages is similar to how you got your vanity URLs for your personal profile. Simply head over to http://facebook.com/username and you will be prompted whether you want to change your fan page name or not.
